Pathways for Peace (2023)

Breaking barriers and captivating hearts, 'Pathways for Peace', from theColombian film production company PirataFilms, directed by JuanMa Casas and produced by Martin Waehlisch, under the scientific guidance of Andrés Casas, has won the Award for Best Documentary Short Film at the Prisma Independent Film Festival of Rome 2024.

 

Through behavioral science experiment, United Nations uses Virtual Reality as a communicative intervention tool to bring decision makers in New York and urban citizens in Colombia to the territories where Peace Builders are living the Colombian Peace Process daily in rural areas. Art, science and technology come together in an innovative approach to create an alternative for peacebuilding based on the transformation of meta perceptions.

All It Takes: Remembering Emile Bruneau (2022) By Pirata Films

Short film (and documentary trailer) about Emile Bruneau, one of the most brilliant minds in neuroscience. As director of the Peace and Conflict Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, he touched lives in his quest to alleviate conflict. This is a tribute to the scientist, the teacher, the father, the friend and one of the most wonderful human beings. His legacy will live on and scientific tools for peace will prevail.

 

This is the teaser of the upcoming documentary by Pirata Films tells the story of Emile Bruneau's work in Colombia to put science to work for peace. The video was presented as part of the closing event of the seminar organized by Neuropaz in memory of Emile Bruneau in August 2022 at Javeriana University in Bogotá.

Humanizing through the positive confirmation of commitment, providing social proof, and leveraging the influence of social authorities, helps change negative meta-perceptions and increases support for peace in Colombia. Prosperidad Social y Corpovisionarios trabajaron de manera articulada con población de cinco departamentos en el marco del ejercicio “Tejiendo acciones de paz”. El diagnóstico fue realizado en 76 municipios, mediante 3.200 encuestas, 50 experimentos económicos, 10 grupos focales y 5 talleres de visión compartida.​
